For a specific application, how do I choose which powder group to use?

To begin with, you must identify the general constraints of your application:

• Application temperature
• Local environment (chemicals, humidity, etc.)
• Maximum local demagnetizing field
• Available space for the magnet
• Magnetic field (or strength) needed from the magnet

What powder grades are best for high temperature applications?

Rare earth containing magnetic materials are challenged by elevated temperature applications, say >125^oC. MQP-14-12 powder grade has been designed to overcome these difficulties, and its magnets can exhibit <5% flux loss at temperatures up to 200^oC.
